January is almost over and I have been quite busy. Here's a roundup of some of the things I've been up to in case you missed it.
Social Media

Patreon
Since last year, I've been consistently releasing new content on Patreon every week. Going forward I hope to make it my main platform.
Begining in March I will be releasing a short yoga class every week on Patreon. The classes will be available for paid members only.
Last week I released a pilot episode available to the general public.

Over on my Accessible Yoga Movement YouTube channel I've been doing a lot more.
I have been posting shorts almost daily as well as new long form videos. I planned to go live every Monday in January but that didn't happen. There are two live classes up right now and I plan to do a few more as my schedule allows.

I post content everyday on Instagram. Several reels are doing well including parody reels featuring Charlotte. Expect to see a lot more of Charlotte in the coming weeks.

Threads
On threads I share a lot of random thoughts particularly about decolonization and accessibility.
Last week one thread was surprisingly impact. Let's delve into that.

Last week I made a post asking folks to wear underwear to yoga. My intent was to get people to realize that yoga teachers and sometimes fellow students can see their private parts without actually saying that. I didn't want anyone to feel bad so I tried to be vague. I could never had anticipated what would happen next.
I was called judgmental, accused of body shaming and sexualizing my students. Yoga should be a safe space where people can heal. From my perspective the heart of this issue is consent. My intention in sharing this tip was to create safer spaces for those who practice.
It can be very disconcerting to suddenly see another person's privates. Equally disconcerting to realize that your genitals were on display to a room full of people. I don't need to tell you all the ways this can be harmful. Some people will absolutely be unbothered in this situation but others will be deeply harmed. We should protect those who would be hurt in this completely avoidable situation but simply wearing adequate undergarments when we practice with others.
Next time your're getting dressed for yoga remember all leggings become transparent and shorts don't cover as well as you think. Let's be mindful and all wear underwear to yoga.
